This NRS Healthcare Wall Mounted Folding Shower Seat M53552 – Padded with Legs is a wall mounted shower seat which increases safety & comfort when showering. This shower seat enables people who are unable to stand unassisted for long periods of time to wash in the shower, helping the user retain their independence. Being able to sit down adds to user security, stability & confidence once in the shower.

The shower seat has drainage holes to quickly remove water, which helps to prevent slipping. It is also padded for user comfort. The shower seat can fold away to leave a small projection of 95mm (3.75″), that will suit small bath and shower rooms.

The shower seat is made from epoxy coated steel and features an aluminium back plate. It features integral moulded anti-slip ridges on the seat pad to reduce the risk of slipping. It has a height adjustable seat range pre-fitting of 475 – 605mm (18.75 – 23.75”) to suit a wide range of users and needs. Product Description

Ideal for a person who is disabled, rehabilitating from illness or injury or who has restricted mobility, the Porta Potti is a portable toilet that does not require plumbing but which offers an alternative to using a commode. It can also be useful for people on camping trips or for other travel purposes. It can be useful for young children to use in their bedroom, if they are afraid to use the toilet at night or if it is unsafe for them to do so.

Porta Potti consists of two sections: the upper section is a combined flush water tank and toilet bowl with detachable seat and cover, and the lower section is the waste-holding tank. It can be used similarly to a standard toilet, except that first the user pumps water into the Porta Potti bowl by gently pressing the bellows on the top. The tank holds 15 litres (36 pints) of water. After use, the front lever is pulled to flush the contents of the bowl down to the holding tank base, which holds 21 litres (37 pints). A chemical toilet solution should be used in the large capacity holding tank to break down the contents to liquid. This makes the Porta Potti hygienic to use and means it does not require emptying as often as a commode potty. A free sample of 50 mm of Aqua Kem Chemical Toilet Solution is included, and large bottles are sold separately.

Emptying the tank is also very easy. The whole unit splits into two, with the upper section detaching from the waste tank by simply pulling the front handle. The holding tank has a rotating spout to pour the waste away. There is a vent to ensure no unpleasant splashing occurs when emptying.

Constructed from strong engineering plastic in a light grey colour, the Porta Potti is in design. It has a comfortable plastic seat at a natural height and feels safe and sturdy when in use. It is fairly lightweight and weighs approximately 4 kg (8½ pounds). The overall height measures 41.4 cm (16 inches) and 38.3 cm in width (15 inches). It is 42.7 cm deep (17 inches). The Porta Potti is suitable for use by a person weighing up to 120 kg (19 stone) in weight. This NRS Healthcare Tetrapod Walking Stick L29324 – with Small 4 Leg Base has multiple legs and feet, which offers the user more stability when walking than a traditional standard walking stick with only one foot. Tetrapods offer increased levels of support and security when walking outdoors or indoors, but please note that they should not be used on stairs.

How to measure the handle height you need for a walking stick:
Wear your normal shoes and stand facing forward with feet shoulder width apart.
With your arms held naturally at your sides, get a friend to measure from the floor to your wristbone. This measurement is the one you need for the handle height of your walking stick.

How to use:
If you use a walking stick because of weakness or injury to one of your legs, you should hold the walking stick in your opposite hand. So if your right leg is injured, you should use a walking stick on your left side.
If you are unsteady on your feet and using the stick for balance, you can hold the walking stick on either side – whichever feels more comfortable and natural to you.

It’s really useful for a person who has difficulty or finds it uncomfortable to bend or stretch when reaching. It’s therefore suitable for a variety of people, including those who use a wheelchair or who have mobility difficulties, and those who suffer from back or hip pain.

The Combi-Reacher can be used to pick up a wide variety of everyday objects and is great for litter picking! It can also be used to help with dressing, for example putting on socks, if you can’t reach your feet. You can use the Combi-Reacher to close the curtains, pick up the post or newspaper, reach for the TV remote – the list is endless!

The Combi-Reacher features a long, aluminium shaft with a trigger-like handle at one end and a ‘grabber’ at the other end. The handle and ‘grabber’ parts are made of light grey plastic, and the trigger is light blue. To pick something up, all that is required is to hold the handle with fingers gently placed round the trigger, reach up or across to the item easily without straining, squeeze the trigger to open the grabber jaws, then release trigger to close jaws around the object.

The Combi-Reacher has an ergonomically designed handle which enables all four fingers to be placed on the trigger which makes it suitable for a person with limited grip strength as they can use a fist grip. The reacher contains minimal dirt traps and so is easy to keep clean.

The grabber rotates 360° so there is no need for the person using it to twist their wrist into an uncomfortable angle. It also has rubber lined jaws which provide extra grip when lifting a more slippery object up. There is a magnet on the end of the top jaw which means you can pick up small metal items such as pins, needles or keys. It is also easy to pick and scoop up papers.

The Combi-Reacher also features an integral shoe horn, so there is no need to buy another device to help with this! There is a plastic clip on the aluminium shaft for storing the reacher on a walking frame.

This Combi-Reacher measures 813mm (32″) in length, and weighs only 180g (6oz).
